All babies from this litter born 31 August 2011 (Daffi and Jerry Lee) have been adopted

*************************

I am planning two more litters through the summer months - Jack and Gypsy, and Jack and Jazz. Who comes first will depend on when the girls call and how long it takes for our new arrivals to settle in.

I would hope that we have kittens before the end of January 2012.  Babies born in January will not be ready to leave home until April or May, and I already have some families waiting on these babies.

2012 is an "L" year. Registered names for all kittens will begin with the letter L. Call names can be different to registered names :)

Retired Adults

Have you thought about adopting an older cat? We often have cats or older kittens who are looking for new homes.   Breeding cats who have been retired from breeding, or occasionally a kitten we kept to show for a season. Sometimes, even a cat who has come back to us because of family illness or other reasons. Please check on my Retirees page.

All COONCERTO breeding cats are negative to the MyBPC3 gene.

And in addition, breeding cats are regularly ultrasounded and certified free of congenital HEART disease by Veterinary Cardiologist Dr Brad Gavaghan.  Ancestors are also tested and results will be kept up to date on my website.

Their KIDNEYS are ultra sounded and certified clear of PKD and they are x-rayed to ensure HIP CONFORMATION is within the acceptable breed average.

Certificates are published on this website because you need to know and because I am passionate about breeding healthy Maine Coons!

How to reserve a kitten

Because I breed only a few litters each year, I often have a waiting list for kittens. But good things are worth waiting for :)  Planning for a litter starts 5 months in advance for me.

A phone call to my mobile is the most reliable way to contact me these days. Emails go astray more and more often or can get lost in the mass of promotional material and junk which arrives in my inbox.

************

Kittens can only be reserved once we have a litter born, and those people who have expressed interest in advance are given first option on available kittens.

************

Once your kitten is chosen and we are both happy, I ask for a non-refundable deposit of $200 for each kitten. This ensures that we are both serious and the kittens are then registered directly into their new family's names.

I don't take deposits on kittens not born yet.

ADOPTION FEES AND INCLUSIONS

All pet kittens are microchipped,  desexed,  registered,  have had 2 x F4 vaccinations and are vet checked before leaving Cooncerto. They come with a written contract and guarantee of health and with full breeder support for the life of your kitten to ensure your happiness and that of my kitten.

Comprehensive care notes are provided, a kitten care package or airline approved travel crate forms part of the package. Delivery to the north side of Brisbane is included if I can arrange to deliver several kittens in a single trip or if I can schedule delivery for a weekend I am traveling to Brisbane on other business.

Transport to major airports in Australia can be arranged at an additional cost.

ADOPTION FEES

Neutered boy

  $1100.00

Speyed girl

  $900.00

Companion pair of desexed kittens

a reduction of $100 on the joint price is offered for a companion pair along with a large carry crate and care package.

A kitten can often be paired with a retired breeding cat, when available, for a very small additional cost.

I rarely sell breeding cats and when I do it is only to registered breeders who agree to abide by a contract.

For a retired breeding cat, when available, I ask approximately half the adoption fee for a kitten. For a pairing with  one of our kittens, this amount is even less as it benefits both cat and kitten to have a lifelong companion.
