Cooncerto Heartbreaker

(aka The Trickster)

This is the boy I have been waiting for since Fhoenix retired. A beautiful son of Theoden and Dee who is showing promise of developing type and temperament worthy of his lineage.

I hope he will make his VelvetJewels and Rumford grandmothers proud!

The Trickster is normal (N/N) for the MyBP-C3 Gene

He has a great family history of heart health and his heart will be ultrasound tested by a veterinary cardiologist when he is old enough.

All COONCERTO breeding cats are negative to the MyBPC3 gene.

And in addition, breeding cats and retired ancestors are regularly ultrasounded and certified free of congenital HEART disease by Veterinary Cardiologist Dr Brad Gavaghan.

Their KIDNEYS are ultra sounded and certified clear of PKD and they are x-rayed to ensure HIP CONFORMATION is within the acceptable breed average.

My dream boy

It was a in one way a very easy decision to allow this boy to retire - he will LOVE being a neuter and I will love having him underfoot in the house. But also it was a very hard decision to make because this boy has been my dream stud. He has the most wonderful type - beautiful face and lovely square muzzle with great lynx tips. He has a long strongly muscled body and long tail to match. And even more important to me, he has an absolutely wonderful temperament and a great history of heart health. His son Cooncerto Heartbreaker (aka The Trickster) will hopefully carry on his line. I also have his daughter Daffi, and grand-daughter Gucci - so you can see that Theoden will be well represented in future Cooncerto kittens!

I hope you will join me in wishing him enjoyment of a long happy healthy retirement!

Theoden has a beautiful heart :-) His heart has been ultrasound tested by Dr Brad Gavighan (Veterinary Cardiologist) three times and he has been certified clear on each of those occasions. His most recent clear test was April 2007.
Theoden is negative for PKD
Théoden's father Coonyham Gold Rush has 8 clear heart tests behind him, and this family history helps me build up a clearer picture of heart health in this boy.

Fhoenix was ultrasound tested for HCM by veterinary cardiologist Dr Brad Gavaghan on 8 august 2007 and was certified clear of HCM. Fhoenix is normal (N/N) for the MyBP-C3 Gene
